Leadership Brevard
The objective of Leadership Brevard is to develop a group of individuals to provide diversity of input, thought, and perspective and ultimately develop a group of individuals positioned to utilize leadership skills for the long-term benefit of the community.
The program was founded to increase the civic participation of community leaders within Brevard County and The Space Coast.
Leadership Brevard program goals:
- Community Education: gain greater understanding of Brevard County
- Relationships: build long-term bonds with Leadership Brevard class members
- Network: connect and engage the Leadership Brevard class with the alumni network and community leaders
Annually, a class of sixty candidates representing the private, public and non-profit sectors enrolls for eight, day-long sessions of instruction and dialogue about key county & regional issues, leadership development, and opportunities for increased civic involvement.
Program participants will also have the opportunity to work in teams to create solutions to identify community problems. Several leadership action projects are developed each year, many of which continue to impact our community in positive ways.
