Résumés are not just for job-seekers...... Everyone knows that the first step in looking for a new job is to create or update your résumé. However, did you know that having a structured résumé is also extremely important while you are employed...? You might be surprised to hear that it is now considered essential to have a résumé in order to be looked at for career promotions within your current department or company, not just within your wider career field...
Simply put, it is considered best practice among working professionals to keep résumés and career documentation updated... We hear everyday of companies being sold, jobs being cut or that management has decided that, despite multi-year contributions, some personnel are expendable. How would you show that you are 'key personnel - essential to the company' and keep your job, or compete for promotion within your department...? What if a plum opportunity landed, unlooked for, in your lap - would you prefer to be prepared or rush to get your career documentation up to date.....? What if the 'what if' happened and you faced unemployment in the next 12 months?
Catherine Sligh, Owner of Productive Résumé, a professional career consultancy specializing in resume writing, will present an interactive workshop on how to prepare essential career documentation. Catherine has over 14 years professional experience in international HR, Career Consultancy, Education and Sales across three continents. She is a member of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches and the National Résumé Writers' Association. She has worked extensively with local Space Coast and Central Florida hiring managers in preparing, interviewing and hiring key personnel across many diverse industries. www.productiveresume.com

This workshop is going to explore strategies and techniques for expanding and creating networks that can help you in a variety of settings - sales included. Featuring speaker Steve Hoffacker, CAASH, CAPS, CGP, CMP, CSP, MCSP, MIRM
