Youth Leadership Brevard

A solid foundation from which to build tomorrow's leaders!
Youth Leadership Brevard is program designed by LEAD Brevard to spur the desire of Brevard's youth to achieve leadership skills and build community awareness. Open to all Brevard County high school sophomores, juniors and seniors from public, private and home schools, participants are exposed to community sectors and issues related to life in Brevard, including the environment, local government, health care, cultural diversity, education, and the economy. The curriculum also includes sessions to enhance leadership skills and opportunities for community service as part of the leadership learning.
Each Youth Leadership Brevard Class completes a publication titled Teens Look at Local Issues. Check out the 2009 issue here.
The program includes an evening orientation, followed by seven, full-day program sessions, conducted once each month (except for December) and concluding with class graduation. Program period: August, through April.
