Now Accepting 2023 4 Under 40 Nominations

LEAD Brevard’s mission – Working together to strengthen our community by inspiring people to lead.
The 4 Under 40 Award recognizes leaders under 40 years of age who make a significant impact on the
Brevard County community through their personal and professional leadership.

Nominate an up-and-coming leader for the 2023 LEAD Brevard’s Leadership Awards signature fundraiser and 4 Under 40 19th Anniversary recognition event!  Save the date and plan to join us on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place, in Melbourne, FL. Nominations for this prestigious 4 Under 40 award are open to all young leaders under the age of 40.

Nominees should possess the characteristics needed to improve the quality of life in our community through leadership and innovation. These characteristics – a combination of personal attributes, commitment to community, and successful experience – demonstrate an ability to lead and innovate and they signal the potential to become a more significant leader in the coming years. Qualifying Criteria

  • Candidate will not yet be 40 years of age before January 1st of the year of the award.
  • Candidate has demonstrated active commitment to Brevard County community through volunteer or professional service.
  • Candidate has provided leadership to community organization(s) which has led to significant and successful outcomes for the organization(s) and/or community served.

Judging Criteria

    • Round 1 – All Nominees
      • Personal/Volunteer Service and Impact: 35%
      • Professional Service and Impact: 30%
      • Personal Statement/Passion for Brevard: 25%
      • Letters of Recommendation: 10%
    • Round 2 – Top 12 Finalists
      • Personal/Volunteer Service and Impact: 30%
      • Professional Service and Impact: 25%
      • Personal Statement/Passion for Brevard: 20%
      • Interview: 15%
      • Letters of Recommendation: 10%
